Starting with the signature of the Agreement of Collaboration in 2005, the FAHH as kept on supporting the IPN in the implementation of actions in favor of the development of youngsters in Mexico, through several projects.

The scholarships granted have enabled low-income and high academic performance students to continue with their studies.

Since it started its operations in 2007, the Mobile Distance Learning Units, equipped with new technologies and complemented with ongoing updating of educational materials, like the Distance Bivalent Technological High School and development programs, have given young people and adults of marginalized communities of Oaxaca and MIchoacán the opportunity to access higher level education.

Through the Health Care Mobile Units and the Multidisciplinary Crews for Health Social Service, health care, dentistry care, attention to tropical diseases, and visual care is provided to marginalized communities. Likewise, medications, healing and dentistry materials, and reading glasses are provided to the people in need in the states of Chiapas, Mexico, Oaxaca, Querétaro, Sinaloa, and Tabasco.

The modernization and increase of the educational and cultural tools of the Planetarium Luis Enrique Erro have been evident since it reopened its doors in January 2007 in an almost two-fold annual increase of visitors, mainly children and young people of elementary and junior high school levels.

On October 23, 2009, the world premiere of The Mayan Universe took place. This is a full dome production for digital planetarium that will be admired in 500 planetariums worldwide to show the values of the ancient Mayan culture.

With the refurbishment of auditoriums A and B of the Jaime Torres Bodet Cultural Center, the repair of spaces for cultural workshops and the specialized equipping in the cine club, great promotion has been given to the cultural activities performed in the Institute, fostering the dissemination and furtherance of culture among the polytechnic community and the society in general.

The resources granted for the development and sports promotion program were allocated to sports scholarships (high performance, sports talent, and trainers); to the refurbishment and equipping of sports facilities (football, soccer, cycling, athletics, and swimming), making it possible to increase the participation of students and to win more medals. The facilities for aquatic sports were also adapted.
